Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Authorization Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for obtaining insurance authorizations, verifying insurance benefits, and collaborating with both our billing department and credentialing team to ensure smooth operations and exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Obtain insurance authorizations for all necessary treatments and procedures.
Verify patient insurance benefits to ensure coverage and eligibility.
Coordinate with the billing department to ensure accurate and timely claims submission.
Work closely with the credentialing team to maintain up-to-date provider information and compliance with insurance requirements.
Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and other healthcare providers to resolve any authorization or coverage issues.
Maintain accurate and organized records of all authorizations and verifications.
Stay informed about changes in insurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance and optimal reimbursement.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
Documented history working with medical insurance in the US, including billing and coding, authorizations, and credentialing.
Previous experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or authorization processes.
Strong understanding of insurance policies, medical terminology, and healthcare procedures.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in using medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
