Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Authorizations and Verifications Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for answering phones and assisting the front desk as needed. Additionally, the candidate will play a crucial role in collecting information for new patients virtually, scheduling appointments, rescheduling appointments, and following up on referrals. Excellent English skills are a must, as well as expertise in insurance authorizations and verifications.
Responsibilities:
Answer phones and assist the front desk as needed
Collect information for new patients virtually
Schedule appointments and follow up on referrals
Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations
Assist with rescheduling appointments when necessary
Work on authorizations and VOB (VOB won’t start until June/July)
Write out trainings to help create processes and procedures
Have strong verbal and written English to speak to patients, other MD offices, and insurance companies
Willingness to learn our procedures and help with data entry
Take patient phone calls
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 years of experience in insurance authorizations and verifications
Excellent English communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office Suites and Google Docs
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
