Virtual Rockstar is seeking an Insurance Verification and Authorization Specialist to join our client’s dedicated, thriving physical therapy practice in Tennessee. This role plays a critical part in ensuring seamless operations by verifying patient insurance coverage, obtaining pre-authorizations for procedures, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Responsibilities:
Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits to ensure accurate billing.
Obtain pre-authorizations from insurance providers for medical procedures.
Update patient files with current and accurate insurance information.
Liaise with insurance companies to clarify coverage details and resolve issues.
Track and follow up on the status of pending insurance claims.
Assist patients with insurance-related queries and provide information as needed.
Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
Perform data entry tasks and generate basic reports as required.
Generate billing reports for management review.
Coordinate with medical staff to manage daily schedules and patient appointments.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and records.

Requirements:
Proven experience as an Insurance Verification Specialist or similar role in a healthcare setting.
Strong understanding of insurance procedures, medical billing, and coding practices.
Familiarity with Prompt EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and Google Workspace preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting and collaborate effectively with a team.
