Interactive Animation Designer (Callie)

We are a rapidly growing tech startup on a mission to reshape mental health care for the next generation. We’re building an AI-driven behavioral health pet from the ground up that already has tens of thousands of patients and is reimagining the modern-day healthcare experience. We take pride in building in one of the most exciting intersections of healthcare, AI and consumer. Our founding team consists of Y Combinator alums, Thiel Fellows and Stanford dropouts.

We are seeking a talented Interactive Animation Designer who specializes in creating 3D interactive, production-ready animations for mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have proficient skills in using powerful graphics and animation tools, like Rive (Click to view/), to develop animations that are not only visually appealing but also effectively convey emotions and empathy in real-time.

– Design and create interactive, real-time 3D animations using Rive (Click to view/) for our mobile application.
– Collaborate with our UI/UX designers and developers to integrate animations seamlessly into our platforms.
– Continuously research and implement best practices for emotional expression in digital animations.
– Prepare and deliver production-ready files that are optimized for mobile platforms.
– Participate in regular team meetings and provide updates on project progress and milestones.
– Offer creative input on visual storytelling to help translate behavioral health concepts into compelling animated experiences.

Requirements:

– Over five years of experience as an animator with a strong portfolio showcasing animations.
– Demonstrated proficiency in interactive graphics and animation tool Rive (Click to view/).
– Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.
– Excellent understanding of modern animation techniques, particularly those that communicate emotional contexts and character interactions.
– Experience in mobile application development and an understanding of user interface challenges.
– Strong artistic and technical skills, with an ability to translate complex emotions into engaging visual narratives.
– A keen eye for aesthetics and details, with a passion for mental health and technology.
