The Interior Design Assistant will support the lead designer throughout individual projects and
with general administrative tasks. The assistant will gain a clear understanding of the business
ethos, branding and mission and will strive to achieve all tasks consistently and efficiently. The
role will be suitable for someone with creativity, organisational skills and someone who strives
for excellence. This is ideally a long-term role with a small business, and as the business grows
there will be opportunities for both personal and professional growth.
Responsibilities and Duties – Immediate Needs
(Interior Design)
* Floor plans and 3D drawings in SketchUp
* Photo-realistic renderings in Vray or similar
* Setup and transfer of SketchUp drawings to Layout for dimensioning and construction
drawings
* Set up projects in the online project management system. Knowledge of Programa would be
helpful but not a requirement.
* Collation of products and materials into the online product library.
* Preparation of mood and concept boards using Programa or Canva
(General To-Dos)
– Sourcing Suppliers relevant to each project
– Ordering Samples/Setting up logins and/or accounts
– Loading each requested sample into the online studio and linking to individual project
– General Data entry in the online studio in Programa
– Create a Database of Trade Suppliers and relevant discounts %
– Research Affiliate Programs for benefits
(Graphic Design)
* Minor change to existing logo
* Source two fonts to work with current branding
* Design of a “Front Yard Sign” – I have images of what I would like done
(Social Media)
? Source Icon Images for Instagram Stories
? Re-purpose Content to use across different channels
? “Quotes” (Inspirational and Client) onto Templates in Canva
? Scheduling of posts and reels in Plann
? Creation of posts and reels using provided images
? Creation of email templates in Flodesk for email marketing
? Uploading images into Pinterest folders
? Adjusting Templates in Canva as required
? ‘Before’ and ‘after’ comparisons in Stories and Reels – to be used for both Instagram and
Pinterest
? Fine Tuning of Pinterest as needed
? Moodboards for examples of interior schemes
? Create Content based on products from preferred suppliers
MUST HAVE:
? Proficient in Sketchup
? Familiar with V-ray or similar
? Proficient in Canva
? Able to learn new programs quickly
? Creative, great at problem-solving
? Knowledge of basic Mac programs will be helpful
? Familiar with construction terms and processes
