Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Internal Accountant with expertise in both bookkeeping and financial analysis to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing financial data to identify trends and opportunities, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Bookkeeping:
– Manage day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
– Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and documented in compliance with company policies and procedures.
– Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts on a regular basis.
– Prepare and maintain financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
– Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing adjusting journal entries and supporting schedules.

2. Finance Analysis:
– Conduct detailed financial analysis to assess the financial performance of the company.
– Interpret financial data and trends to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
– Develop financial models and forecasts to support budgeting and strategic planning initiatives.
– Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and presentations for management as needed.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and recommendations on business performance and financial matters.

3. Compliance and Reporting:
– Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and tax requirements.
– Assist with the preparation of tax filings and audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
– Stay updated on changes in accounting principles and regulations, and recommend adjustments to accounting processes as necessary.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or relevant professional certification is a plus.
– Proven experience 2 years in bookkeeping, financial analysis, or related roles.
– Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
– Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
– Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets.
– Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
– Ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
– Prior experience in a similar role within accounting is preferred.
