ROLE
As an Inventory Coordinator at our dynamic company, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, playing a crucial role in balancing supply and demand across a multitude of platforms. This isn’t just about numbers and spreadsheets—it’s about orchestrating a symphony of data, market research, and strategic planning to keep our inventory in perfect harmony. From conducting thorough market research and creating robust stock forecasts to engaging with suppliers and overseeing diverse warehouses and factories, your role will be an ever-evolving challenge that ensures our business thrives. RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitoring Inventory: Continuously track inventory levels across multiple warehouses, factories, and marketplaces to maintain optimal stock levels. Manage internal supply plans based on our net requirements in order to purchase the right amount of stock to provide the best service at best cost
Data Analysis: Analyze inventory data to identify trends, predict future needs, and assess the effectiveness of current inventory management practices.
Forecasting: Create and maintain inventory forecasts based on sales data, promotional activities, market trends, and seasonal demand.
Reporting: Generate regular reports on inventory levels, discrepancies, and forecasts to present to management or other stakeholders.
Market Research: Conduct regular research to understand market trends, competitor activities, and potential supply issues.
Understanding factories production capabilities and lead times and implementing plans to mitigate risk
Freight Forwarder Negotiation: Negotiate with freight forwarders for better freight terms, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery of goods. Working with our freight forwarders and holding them responsible for delivery deadlines
Inventory Audits: Regularly conduct or oversee inventory audits to ensure accuracy in reported inventory levels and compliance with internal and external regulations.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve inventory management processes for increased efficiency and accuracy.
REQUIREMENTS
Inventory Management: Experience in managing and maintaining inventory across different locations or platforms.
Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing inventory data and identifying trends. This includes proficiency in tools like Excel or Google Sheets, where the candidate should be able to use functions for analysis and forecasting.
Attention to Detail: Ability to identify errors or discrepancies in inventory records, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
Must have current or prior experience managing inventory for an e-commerce company (Preferably Amazon private label)
Knowledge of production capabilities, sales and supply trend
Experience working with freight forwarders and various suppliers
Ability to work remotely and possess his/her own laptop with a high-speed connection
Highly analytical and a problem solver
Takes initiative and a self-starter
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and achievement-oriented
Excellent proficiency in English (Both spoken and written).
Ability to plan and execute strategies independently that align with the organisation’s goals and objectives.
