Inventory & Logistics Specialist
This multifaceted role requires managing inventory, coordinating with suppliers and freight forwarders, generating reports, processing invoices, and overseeing inventory operations across various e-commerce platforms and specifically on Amazon. Additionally, the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and diligently communicate with suppliers and freight forwarders so that high quality inventory is made and shipped on time is critical to this role. We seek a detail-oriented, organized individual experienced in inventory management and operations. Your strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and multitasking proficiency will be crucial for efficient inventory management and smooth operations. This opportunity is perfect for someone who enjoys handling diverse responsibilities and has a solid understanding of Amazon and e-commerce inventory operations. We want someone who is self-reliant and proactive in coming up with solutions before asking for help. This role demands someone who is extremely well organized and has the ability to keep others (suppliers, freight forwarders, etc.) on task and keep track of important details.

Responsibilities
– Place orders with suppliers and continually communicate and follow up to address issues with manufacturing and make sure inventory is produced on time and to our quality standards
– Schedule shipments with freight forwarders and continually communicate and adjust vessel dates if production is delayed
– Schedule quality inspections and review inspection reports to determine if new inventory is approved to ship
– Process invoices from suppliers, freight forwarders, and Inspection companies and ensure timely payments
– Perform reporting tasks weekly and as needed, including inventory reporting and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
– Make inventory recommendations based on sales data, market trends, and seasons (ie holidays)
– Create shipments on Amazon Seller Central to send inventory from warehouses worldwide to Amazon fulfillment centers

– Communicate with Amazon Seller Support for any inventory issues that arise in the team’s selling accounts
– Oversee inventory operations on different e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Shopify, eBay, Shopify, Valet Seller, and Faire, ensuring product listings are up to date and orders are processed smoothly.

Requirements
– Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills is a must
– Previous experience in inventory management and logistics for Amazon listings
– Previous experience managing inventory on Amazon Seller Central and solving cases with Amazon Seller Support
– Very strong organizational skills that allow you to juggle many contingent deadlines wherein if one deadline is moved all other deadlines are affected
– Strong analytical skills to make inventory recommendations and track performance metrics
– Proficiency in generating reports and analyzing data using spreadsheet software
– Proficiency using excel and google sheets with the strong ability to easily manipulate data
– Creative problem solver that loves rolling up their sleeves and getting work done
– Desire to wear many different hats – while the above are the core responsibilities, we are a small team and periodically need help within other departments
– Ability to work occasionally on weekends and evenings (in New York time)
