Job Description

What are we looking for:

Multiplymii is in search of an Inventory Optimization Associate who will be working with our client based in the US. Our client is a tech-forward consumer products company that acquires and grows online brands across the pet, home & kitchen, beauty & personal care, and fitness, sports & outdoor categories. You would be joining a team of seasoned leaders who have over 23 years of Amazon marketplace experience as well as experience in billion-dollar direct to consumer, local & international, retail & omnichannel operations, and brand-building having grown brands from scratch to over $1B.

We’re looking for an organized, data-driven builder to own the demand planning and inventory management for our acquired brands. Your job will be to ensure all inventory systems and processes are meeting the needs of the business, and to implement controls around these processes. You will work closely with the Category Management and Marketing teams to forecast demand and manage inventory availability/health. You will also partner with internal teams to develop tools, automation, and process improvements that affect purchasing and supplier management workflows.

This role is 100% work from home.

In this role, you will:

Have specific ownership of initiatives and day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

+ “Always” Availability. Manage inventory availability and inventory health with a focus on in-stock rate, excess inventory, inventory age, and shrink reduction.

+ Grow the Business. Provide inventory operations support to Brand Builders to facilitate growth in new geographies (e.g., Amazon Canada, Amazon EU) and new sales channels (e.g., Shopify, Walmart, Chewy)

+ Manage Inventory. Forecast and manage efficient inbound and outbound inventory flows and health, including forecasting and purchasing. Analyze inventory position and SKU performance to determine inventory liability and exit strategy for unproductive inventory.

+ Process Improvement. Work with internal teams to help drive tools and process improvements that affect inventory management workflow, with emphasis on automating tasks that are currently performed manually.

+ Strategy & Planning. Drive cross-functional strategic initiatives to improve customer experience, Cost business operations, and overall cost structure of the business. Perform complex business analysis to identify business opportunities to improve revenue and profitability.

About You:

With this role, we are looking to bring on a trusted, long-term partner to support Brand Growth operations for many years to come. Specific qualifications include:

– Experience creating and managing planning models.
– Experience working cross-functionally and in matrixed organizations.
– Strong analytical skills, comfortable with large data sets and rapid experimentation.
– Highly organized with a critical attention to detail and impossibly high standards.
– Clear and concise written and oral communication skills.

Core qualifications:

– You are an owner. For you, there’s no such thing as “it’s not my job.” You take pride in, and accountability for, results. No problem is too big, too small, or too outside of your scope to jump in and help.
– You are deeply analytical. You seek out data to validate hypotheses, and are not afraid to change your mind if the data is telling a different story. You’re comfortable navigating large datasets and extracting signal from the noise.
– You are a systems thinker. You think in terms of scalable processes. You can define a long-term vision based on many moving parts, and build the infrastructure to get there.
– You are scrappy. You find ways to do more with less. You recognize that resources are easily depleted, but resourcefulness is a skill that compounds over time.
– You are a team player. You believe that both success and failure are shared. You recognize the truth of the maxim, “If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together.”
