About the Role
This is a permanent work-from-home position at a fast-growing e-commerce company. We are looking for a tech-savvy and data-driven Inventory Performance Analyst to help with our growth initiatives. Strong communication skills required to collaborate with cross-functional teams and interpret data reports. This role will be under our Profitability Performance Management Team and the person will report directly to the Inventory Performance Manager.

– Salary Range: $10 – $15 an hour depending on experience
As a skilled Inventory Performance Analyst, you will be tasked in ensuring an optimum inventory turnover by identifying and eliminating bottlenecks inhibiting the sell-through rate. You will be responsible for streamlining existing processes, as well as creating new processes to improve the overall inventory performance.
Day to day Position Responsibilities:
– Conducting Root Cause Analysis on each non-moving or slow-moving inventory items and improving its sales velocity by taking appropriate measures.
– Ensuring inventory-related metrics affecting Amazon Account health are always at an optimum level.
– Identifying and assigning action items to the execution team post RCA of slow-moving inventory items.
– Executing action items by oneself where appropriate.
– Assessing the impact of action items at the end of the observation period.
– Creating records by logging actions and other details in an effective manner.
– Creating lucid, comprehensive and feedback generating Live Performance Dashboard that is capable of auto-populating from Action Logs.
– Updating Performance Dashboard and log sheets from time to time with new metrics and KPIs to enhance visibility and to explore new avenues of improvement.
– Creating and validating separate SOPs and workflows for eliminating different types of issues inhibiting the inventory turnover.
– Revising SOPs and workflows after few iterations and feedback from execution team to enhance its effectiveness.
– Overseeing the implementation of SOPs.
– Carrying out training sessions and workshops to guide relevant teams.
– Coordinating and following up with the execution team on the assigned action items.
– Syncing up with the Forecasting Team to provide feedback on barren and inefficacious purchases.
– Providing suggestions and ideas to the Forecasting Team based on issues diagnosed during RCA of inventory performance analysis to improve the future forecasts.
– Syncing up with the Engineering Team to provide feedback on the usability and effectiveness of the applications and systems built for the inventory performance analysis.
– Submitting requests to the Engineering Team pertaining to rolling out new desired features on internal applications as well as for automating existing workflows to improve the quality of analysis and productivity.
– Syncing up with the pricing team to provide suggestions on improving pricing logics based on pricing-related issues diagnosed during RCA of slow-moving inventory.
– Reaching out to the Amazon Support, Amazon Account Managers, Vendor Account Managers, Compliance Teams and Suppliers when required.
– Presenting updates of weekly activities, results, major improvements to the Management on a weekly basis.
– Participating and providing input to the Management in high level profitability meetings.
– Exploring and implementing new tools or software that can ease up or improve inventory performance analysis.
– Standardizing activities to transform its execution from haphazard to a systematic manner.
– Regular sync ups with the team to resolve their issues and seek their feedback.
– Performing other ad hoc tasks.
Experience and qualities we look for:
– With 3-4 years e-commerce experience is preferred especially Amazon.
– With experience or understanding of Amazon’s business model is preferred.
– Good understanding of Amazon FBA sales drivers and blockers is preferred.
– Able to demonstrate strong analytical skills.
– Good with graphical interpretations.
