Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Reconciliation Specialist to manage a critical audit and update of our online arbitrage business’s inventory. This role involves conducting a thorough reconciliation of inventory removed from Amazon, inspected at a prep center, and either listed for resale, sold, or marked for disposal. The specialist will ensure complete accuracy in matching physical inventory to sales records and online listings, with a focus on verifying unsold inventory and reconciling sold items with prep center sales records.
Responsibilities:
Conduct a meticulous audit of 329 unsold units, ensuring each item is accurately catalogued by Amazon ASINs, titles, and physical conditions based on actual item images.
Determine the current Amazon and eBay selling prices for these units by visually verifying each product against its listing.
Classify each unsold item according to a sensible grading scale based on condition and salability.
For 100 units that have already been sold, reconcile sales records from the prep center, noting the sale price and any discrepancies with Amazon records.
Update inventory records to reflect accurate counts of items in stock, sold, or disposed.
Prepare detailed reports summarizing inventory status, potential sales channels, and recommendations for redistribution of unsold items (Amazon, eBay, disposal).
Coordinate findings with the team to streamline future sales and inventory management processes.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in inventory management, particularly within online marketplaces like Amazon and eBay.
Strong analytical skills and an excellent attention to detail.
Ability to interpret complex data and convert it into actionable insights.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in using inventory management software and tools.
Desired Skills:
Experience in quality control or product verification.
Knowledge of online arbitrage and ecommerce logistics.
Basic photographic skills to assess and compare product images
