Job Summary: The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing and controlling our $10,000,000+ company’s inventory levels to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the business. This includes overseeing the purchasing, receiving, storage, and distribution of products, and ensuring accurate inventory records and reports. The Inventory Specialist will work closely with other departments, including sales, operations, and finance, to ensure inventory levels are aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement inventory policies and procedures to ensure accurate inventory counts and minimize inventory loss or damage.
– Manage the purchasing process to ensure the right products are ordered at the right time and in the right quantities while minimizing costs.
– Oversee the receiving and storage process to ensure proper handling and storage of products and accurate recording of inventory levels.
– Coordinate with the sales team to ensure sufficient inventory levels to meet customer demand.
– Analyze inventory data to identify trends and opportunities to improve inventory levels, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
– Work with the finance team to develop and manage inventory budgets and forecasts.
– Manage and train inventory staff to ensure adherence to inventory policies and procedures.
– Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure reliable and timely delivery of products.
– Ensure compliance with inventory-related regulations, such as product safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:
– Strong Spreadsheet skills: must be proficient in Excel/spreadsheets, be able to do VLookups and advanced techniques.
– Minimum of 1 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
– Knowledge of inventory management software and systems.

THE WHEN AND THE WHERE:

This is a full-time remote work-from-home opportunity. Working hours are open for discussion, but will mostly follow EST hours.
