We are seeking a talented and experienced Investigative Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for in-depth research, uncovering stories, and presenting findings in compelling narrative form. As an Investigative Writer, you will be responsible for delving into complex topics, conducting thorough investigations, and producing high-quality articles that inform and engage our audience.
Responsibilities:
1- Research: Conduct comprehensive research on assigned topics, utilizing a variety of sources including interviews, documents, databases, and other investigative tools.
2- Investigation: Uncover hidden information, expose wrongdoing, and delve into stories that require deep investigation and analysis.
3- Fact-checking: Verify the accuracy of information gathered during the investigative process to ensure the reliability and credibility of the articles.
4- Collaboration: Collaborate with editors, designers, and other team members to develop and refine story ideas, as well as to ensure the quality and accuracy of the final product.
5- Deadlines: Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and deliver articles in a timely manner without compromising on quality or accuracy.
6- Stay updated: Stay informed about current events, trends, and developments relevant to the topics being investigated, and incorporate new information into ongoing investigations as needed.
Requirements:
1- Proven experience: Demonstrated experience in investigative journalism or related field, with a strong portfolio of published articles showcasing investigative skills and storytelling ability.
2- Research skills: Proficient in conducting thorough research using various methods and sources, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
3- Writing skills: Excellent writing skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives, distill complex information into clear and concise prose, and adapt writing style to fit different audiences and platforms.
4- Analytical mindset: Strong analytical skills with the ability to critically evaluate information, connect dots, and identify patterns or inconsistencies in data.
