What you’ll do

As an Investor Deck Consultant, you are responsible for assisting the Leadership Team in performing the market research necessary to discover and size a startup’s market opportunity, and be able to create a compelling and visually invigorating Investor Pitch Deck using verified research and data. Your mission is to find relevant articles, market research reports, government data, and anything else that might be relevant to a particular market opportunity. This involves creating a strong and meaningful storyline about our business plan and startup journey using relevant research and data. This position requires you to be analytical, have strong writing skills, some design skills within Google Slides or PowerPoint, and have client-facing consulting experience. This dynamic position will ultimately provide a high-quality product and service to our clients while working internally with the team to scale Virtual Work World. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

– Reading, analyzing, and assessing market and industry data, reports, graphs, charts, and any other findings
– Sourcing and verifying all data points are correct and true
– Review content and draft improvements, including content clarity and brevity to pitch deck
– Interface with internal team to understand the business
– Build storyline arcs using persuasive language and creative visuals on slides
– Translate verified data into informative visuals such as graphs, charts, timeline (for forecasting), etc. which shall be used in creating the Pitch Deck

Who you are

– A multi-talented individual who is well-versed in tech startups, fundraising, and investor pitch decks
– Enjoys wearing various “hats” and is both creative and analytical
– Has a unique set of skills and experience, including storytelling skills, writing skills, research skills, market research skills, market sizing skills, and consulting experience
– Analytical, extremely organized, and very methodical in the approach taken to complete market research, competition research, exit strategy research, and product portfolio research
– Entrepreneurial, love consulting startups, and are skilled in telling good stories using slides

What you should have

– Prior experience building specifically investor pitch decks
– Prior experience writing business plans
– Proficiency in understanding market research and finding compelling data points to support persuasive arguments.
– Strong business writing and storytelling skills
– Proficiency in PowerPoint or Google Slides
– Proficiency in creating visuals such as graphs and charts
– Excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation)
– Creative thinker with the ability to recognize and improve content into short, condensed, and digestible bullet points or sentences
– Excellent editing, proofreading, and project management skills with attention to detail
– Self-motivated and decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
– Must be able to complete a Pitch Deck highlighting the company’s mission and vision, brand, market opportunities, progress, and plans
