Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Analyst to join our IT team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, with a strong understanding of the latest security trends, threats, and technologies. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our organization’s information assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Monitoring and Incident Response:
Monitor security alerts and events for potential threats.
Investigate and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
Develop and maintain incident response plans.
Vulnerability Management:
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
Identify and prioritize security vulnerabilities for remediation.
Work closely with system administrators to implement security patches and updates.
Security Policy and Compliance:
Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures.
Conduct regular compliance audits to ensure adherence to security standards.
Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and compliance requirements.
Security Awareness Training:
Develop and deliver cybersecurity awareness training programs for employees.
Keep the organization informed about current security threats and best practices.
Network Security:
Configure and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security appliances.
Monitor network traffic for unusual activities and potential security threats.
Security Research and Analysis:
Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, technologies, and best practices.
Conduct research and analysis on emerging security technologies and trends.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity.
Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of network protocols, security architectures, and security technologies.
Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and endpoint protection.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with cloud security and knowledge of cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI DSS.
Scripting and programming skills (e.g., Python, Bash).
Certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP).
