We are seeking a full time IT professional to administer and maintain our technical infrastructure. This will be a long-term position if you’re the right person and want it to be. We would prefer that.
This position will support a manufacturing company operating in five states in the United States. You would be our primary IT Administrator.
Responsibilities include:
• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and systems.
• Provide remote troubleshooting and support for IT users.
• Manage user accounts and access rights according to company policies.
• Document IT systems, configurations, and processes.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and glitches.
• Communicating, troubleshooting, and resolving bugs and issues
• Lead large IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services.
• Lead vendor contract negotiations for all new computer equipment, software, telecom, and other IT related projects purchased for the company
Requirements:
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience in system administration.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems installation and configuration.
• Experience with network technologies and protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.
• Familiarity with virtualization technology (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for hardware and software issues.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and resilience.
• Team-oriented with good communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
Qualifications:
• Certifications in relevant technologies or willing to do the certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, CompTIA A+).
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of IT security measures and best practices.
• Familiarity with database systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) is a plus.
• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python)

• Available for work Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM US Central Time.
Systems currently in place:
• Office 365
• AT&T Office @ Hand Phone System (RingCentral)
• MS SQL 2016 Server – primarily used to host ERP system.
• MS Terminal Servers – users must log in to a terminal server to access ERP currently.
• Combination of Cisco/Ubiquiti Firewalls/Switches/Aps
• Employees are issued Microsoft laptops or desktops. Most are running Windows 10 or 11. We also utilize Apple iPads in our manufacturing shops for employees to access engineering drawings.
• ERP – Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains 2018 (on premise)
o Plans to migrate to cloud based Microsoft Business Central (will use 3rd party to facilitate the migration)
• Engineering (team of 6-8 people):
o PTC Creo 3D Modeling Software
o Hexagon Radan Nesting Software
