Job Description

We are looking for an experienced IT Systems Administrator / Network Administrator to oversee and maintain our IT infrastructure. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and secure operation of our networks, systems, and applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our Windows servers, SharePoint, and Office 365 and ensuring network security protocols are up-to-date and effective.

Key Responsibilities:
• Administer and manage Windows Server environments, including configuration, updates, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain and optimize SharePoint and Office 365 implementations, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication across the company.
• Oversee network security measures, including firewall configurations, anti-virus software, and intrusion detection systems.
• Set up staff computers, monitors, and peripherals that are continuously updated
• Manage email systems and configure security settings to safeguard against spam and phishing attacks.
• Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery operations.
• Monitor network performance, anticipate potential issues, and implement solutions to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with best practices and security standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients and team members as needed.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Administrator, Systems Administrator, or similar role.
• Strong expertise in managing Windows environments, including Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange.
• Extensive experience with SharePoint and Office 365 administration and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of network security practices and data encryption techniques.
• Familiarity with cloud services and infrastructure, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Additional Information:
• Start Date: May 2024
• Status: Independent contractor (three-month probationary period) to our Canadian-registered company
• Shift: 8:00-4:30 PM Monday to Friday, Manila time (40-hour workweek)
o Some North American business schedules may be needed occasionally for one to two weeks at a time.
• Contractor Pay Frequency: Weekly
• Transition to Employee to Philippine-registered company: August 2024
• Employee Pay Frequency: Bi-Monthly
• Overtime: 1.5x base salary
