Job Description

I am the owner of an e-commerce electronics company. We design, develop, and sell consumer electronics worldwide, targeting mostly Apple customers.

We are a premium brand and are growing very quickly.

Currently, we are building a top team with some of the best people in their fields and are looking for a Jr. Operations Manager to join us in our mission to create some of the best consumer products in the world.

We are a small team that packs a punch. By building good structures and processes, we reduce the daily legwork and run a very lean business.

The right person is a dynamic individual who excels in a leadership role, managing and improving HR processes, taking the lead in project management, and assisting with operational tasks. The ideal candidate will be a clear and concise communicator, adept at both strategy and execution, and capable of handling complex tasks with a proactive mindset.

You don’t need to have a comprehensive background in e-commerce, although experience is a significant plus. We will be guiding you, and we will always be there to support your journey. Over time, you will take on greater responsibility and should be able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.

What you will do:

1. General day-to-day tasks
We are in need of a proactive individual who can help in the day-to-day and help improve processes. This includes collaborating with team members, delegating tasks, and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.

2. Project Management
You’ll lead our weekly team meetings. We have a unique way of doing team meetings that follows the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) (EOS/BOS knowledge is a PLUS). No worries; you will be trained on how to do this, but being a people person who is an excellent communicator is required.

3. HR process ownership
You will oversee our HR processes and recruitment, both maintaining and improving them as needed. We’re looking for someone who can handle these responsibilities with a humanistic approach, recognizing the value and individuality of each team member.

4. Compliance Lead
You will be responsible for staying on top of time-critical tasks such as US sales tax filings and EU VAT management. You do not need to know how to do this right away, but you must have a sense of urgency to complete these tasks ahead of time.

5. Project Initiator and Executor
You will be at the forefront of taking on new projects and exploring and potentially testing new approaches. We need a versatile individual who is not only open but also enthusiastic about diving into tasks outside their usual scope.

Who you are:

1. An Excellent Communicator
You should have excellent written and oral communication skills. You will be writing to or speaking to customers, third-party agencies, and other stakeholders, managing email communications, etc. You must be clear and concise and capable of articulating ideas effectively and efficiently to team members and clients.

2. Numerical Skills
Strong numerical skills are a big PLUS. You may have to handle some data analysis and create Excel spreadsheets.

3. A People Person
You are naturally personable and approachable. You should be comfortable and skilled in interacting with colleagues and clients alike, fostering positive relationships, and maintaining a harmonious work environment.

4. Integrity and Confidentiality
You are inherently trustworthy, with a strong sense of honesty and reliability. These qualities are essential as you will manage sensitive HR processes, requiring the utmost confidentiality and respect for privacy. Your judgment in setting appropriate boundaries will be critical to maintaining the integrity of our workplace.

There’s no need to worry if you’re not an expert in all these areas. As long as you’re willing to learn and put in the effort, we are happy to guide you, but we expect you to be intelligent and capable of handling some complex tasks from time to time (you will have all the help you need, but you should be capable of exercising common sense and good judgment).

This is a long-term position with plenty of opportunities for increased responsibilities and growth.

We are seeking someone who can work full-time, devoting 40 hours per week to us with no other commitments or side jobs.

Note that we use Hubstaff to track hours. We do not use this to micromanage; it is mainly for gauging workloads so we can fairly and effectively distribute tasks across the team.

You will be working Philippine daytime hours, with the possibility of flexibility in the future.
