About the role…
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Jr. Bookkeeper to join our crew in either a full or part-time capacity. The successful candidate will be a proactive, tech-savvy, masterful multi-tasker, who can connect the dots, and work effectively in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. This role will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our growing hospitality company.

What you’ll do…
– Recording Financial Transactions: Accurately record daily financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. Ensure all transactions are properly categorized and documented in the accounting system.
– Journal Entries: Assist in posting and processing journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. Ensure entries are documented and classified correctly.
– Reconciliation: Support the reconciliation of bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
– Accounts Payable: Verify and process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and maintain records of all transactions. Resolve any discrepancies related to vendor billing.
– Accounts Receivable: Assist in invoicing customers, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts. Maintain accurate records of all receivables.
– Payroll Assistance: Support payroll processing by preparing and maintaining accurate payroll records, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
– Transaction Reports: Generate routine transaction reports, summaries, and detailed financial information to assist in financial analysis and decision-making.
– Documentation and Filing: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation to support compliance and audit requirements.
– Software Utilization: Utilize QuickBooks Online and other accounting software to perform bookkeeping tasks efficiently. Stay current with updates and best practices in accounting software.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
– Experience with QuickBooks Online: Proficiency in using QuickBooks Online for daily bookkeeping tasks.
– Knowledge of Accounting Principles: Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
– Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial recording and reporting.
– Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain well-organized financial records and documentation.
– Problem-Solving: Innovative problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and improve processes.
