We are looking for an experienced Finance Officer ready to take the lead as Junior CFO for an Australian Company.

Availability: Full-time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Hours of Work: 8AM to 5PM (Mon-Fri)
Start Date: ASAP

KEY DELIVERABLES:
• Driving the company’s financial planning
• Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and other government-related reports.
• Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets
• Performs risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments.
• Develops financial strategies by forecasting capital, staff requirements; identifying monetary resources; and developing action plans.
• Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
• Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations.
• Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination.
• Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports and/or financial status by developing forecasts, reporting results, analyzing variances, and developing improvements.
• Set up and oversee the company’s finance IT system (payroll automation, etc.)
• Develops financial strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction and establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.
• Establishes finance operations strategies by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements; determining productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; accumulating resources; resolving problems; and implementing change.
• Develops organization prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities; projecting acquisition and expansion prospects; analyzing organization operations; identifying opportunities for improvement; cost reduction, and systems enhancement.
• Ensures compliance with the law and company’s policies.
• Manages and supervises all finance personnel.
• Manages vendor relationships.
• Accomplishes finance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
1. Proven experience as CFO, finance officer or relevant role.
2. In depth knowledge of financial law and risk management practices.
3. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
4. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (Xero, Zoho)
5. CPA is a strong advantage.
6. BSc/ BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
• You must work in a set time frame and be actively productive. You must only work for our company during the hours that you are working. This is not a “work when you feel like it” job. You have to show up and be working throughout the day.

• You must use our time tracking software and have daily Zoom meetings with your Team Leader to follow up on the progress of your tasks.

• High-speed, reliable internet is essential for this role (minimum 20 Mbps). Having a fast computer with a good processor and memory, having a second monitor is preferable.

• A quiet place to work without distractions or disruptive background noises so that calls via Zoom can be conducted easily.

• Willing to offer input/contribute thoughts and ideas and open to feedback.
