Junior Python Software Engineer

Position Type: Part-time (10-20 hours per week) to start.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist with the design, development, testing, and maintenance of our software platforms.
2. Collaborate with other team members to design user-friendly interfaces.
3. Troubleshoot and fix software-related issues promptly.
4. Assist with code reviews to maintain high-quality code.
5. Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
6. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth production process.
7. Develop and document software testing plans.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest software engineering trends.

Requirements:
-A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or a reputable certification in software development (including accredited online courses).
-Experience using APIs.
-Experience using Python for data analysis, including knowledge of pandas.
-Proficiency in safely and securely utilizing generative AI tools, such as GPT-based models, for code development and assistance.
-Basic knowledge of databases and SQL.
-Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
-Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
-Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have:
-Experience with Git or another version control system.
-Experience with LangChain.
-Some Machine Learning and AI project experience.
-Familiarity with software development methodologies like Agile or Scrum.
-Exposure to web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
-Understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
-Prior experience with AI ethics and understanding of potential misuse cases.
