A Junior Sales Support & Logistics is an entry-level position within the field of logistics and supply chain management. In this role, individuals typically assist in the coordination of various aspects of the logistics process, ensuring the efficient movement of goods and materials from suppliers to customers. You will work closely with the Sales Operations & Logistics team to facilitate the smooth processing of global orders and generating and filing documentation in a timely manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Order Processing
Handle incoming orders from customers, ensuring accuracy and completeness. They may enter orders into a computer system and verify pricing, quantities, and delivery requirements.
Inventory Management
Assist in monitoring inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations. This involves tracking stock levels, replenishing inventory as needed, and conducting periodic stock counts.
Shipment Coordination
Coordinating the shipment of goods is a core responsibility. This includes selecting the appropriate mode of transportation (e.g., truck, ship, air) and carrier, arranging pick-up and delivery schedules, and managing shipping documents.
Documentation
Prepare and maintain shipping and logistics documents, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and customs paperwork, to ensure compliance with regulations and smooth movement of goods.
Data Management
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and sales-related data in the CRM system. Generate reports and provide insights to support sales analysis and decision-making. This could involve using logistics software and spreadsheets.
Communication
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as logistics, finance, and marketing to ensure smooth order processing, payment collection, and delivery coordination.
Sales Support Documentation
Prepare sales quotes, contracts, and proposals as needed. Ensure that all documentation is complete, accurate, and properly archived.
Training and Development
Participate in training sessions to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify process inefficiencies and propose solutions to enhance the overall sales support workflow and customer experience.
Team Collaboration
Junior Logistics Coordinators often work closely with other members of the logistics team, such as senior coordinators, warehouse staff, and procurement teams, to ensure a coordinated and efficient supply chain.
Customer Service
Providing excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, tracking shipments, and ensuring on-time deliveries is crucial to maintaining good relationships with customers.
