Junior Video Editor (*You Must Use Davinci Resolve)

Our Video Production company is looking for a part-time (15-20 hours per week) motivated Junior Video Editor, you will be responsible for doing the rough cuts and initial editing and producing of high-quality video content for our clients and social media channels. Your primary tool will be Davinci Resolve, and familiarity with BlackMagic Cloud collaboration is required. You will work closely with our creative team to bring our vision to life through engaging video storytelling.

Responsibilities:

Connect to Blackmagic Cloud and use Davinci Resolve to edit and enhance video content for social media platforms.
Assemble, categorize, and organize raw footage and perform necessary edits to create visually appealing videos.
Trim, cut, and adjust the duration of video clips to meet project requirements.
Add text overlays, graphics, and special effects to enhance visual impact.
Ensure all videos adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent style.
Optimize videos for different social media platforms, taking into account aspect ratios, file sizes, and other specifications.
Collaborate with team members to manage and organize video assets using BlackMagic Cloud collaboration.
Stay up to date with the latest video editing techniques for Davinci Resolve.

Requirements:

Know how to use Davinci Resolve for video editing. You must know the basics (cutting, sorting, and organizing footage, creating timelines, and following direction for settings and other requirements. Please do NOT apply for this job if you do not intend to learn Davinci Resolve. I am a professional content creator and video editor, and I will teach/train you personally as long as you demonstrate motivation and basic knowledge of how to use the program.

Availability 15-20 hours per week for projects
Familiarity with BlackMagic Cloud collaboration and asset management.
Basic understanding of video formats, codecs, and file conversion.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Basic knowledge of video production processes and equipment.
A creative mindset with a passion for storytelling through video.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience creating content for social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.
Basic knowledge of color grading and color correction.
Familiarity with audio editing and sound design.
