Junior WordPress Developer

We’re a small Australian (GMT+8) creative outfit looking for a Paid trial (2 months) Junior WordPress dev leading to full time employment.

Who we are:

We’re a creative designer / developer duo from Perth, Australia (same time zone mates.) We’re not into advertising or overselling, we’re just here to make beautiful, functional digital products. We find corporate pretty boring, so we go for projects that interest us and can benefit from our great design and user experience.

Fit:

We’ve worked together for ages, so nothing’s lost in translation from design to delivery. So we’re hoping to find someone that gets this too. Think of something that could add value to the client during the development? Let us know, we’re likely to throw that in. We’re pretty flexible in terms of hours, we’d rather focus on getting the job done. If you need to take an afternoon off to recharge the batteries, totally get it.

What you need:

Proven experience HTML, CSS, JS & PHP
Custom theme creation (Roots Sage / Underscores / TailwindCSS / NPM / Webpack Bonus)
Strong knowledge of ACF Pro 6+ and creating Custom Post Types
Know Adobe suite, export assets, build from design files
Ability to learn new practices / plugins / implement new frameworks
Cpanel / Plesk knowledge
Version control management git etc.
English fluency, we need to be able to chat, communicate and problem solve clearly
Stable high speed internet (you shouldn’t be developing without this tbh).
Teams, Meet, Discord or some other 21st Century video conferencing software
To be cool with constructive criticism

Bonus Skills:

API Knowledge, Json, GSAP, Lottie
