Junior WordPress Developer / PHP Developer

Senior software architect / full-stack engineer looking for junior developer to mentor while working for me at my company.

You must have a strong desire to learn and attention to detail.

If you are not learning about WordPress and PHP on your nights and weekends because you want to succeed, do not apply, you don’t have the motivation I am looking for.

You will show up on time, every day.

You will create tasks for yourself in a project management tool so you remember what I ask you to do.

You will take the responsibility for ensuring that the work assigned to you is completed or worked to the best of your ability and then sent for review.

Strong English writing skills is a must since you will be required to document the work you performed in a task note or ticket note.

You must be willing to come to me and tell me what you are learning / trying to figure out. I will then provide feedback and direction and which may require you to change your approach to the work. You must be willing to learn how to adapt and adjust based on feedback.

You must have built at least 3 WordPress sites. If you haven’t built a WordPress site before and you want this job, go build 3 different ones, then apply, (this is the motivation I am looking for.)

I will leave the job posting open until it expires, which I believe is 7 days.

Pay raises will be based on ability to learn and as your experience grows. There will be a $1 / USD pay raise after 6 months, if you make it.

I’m fair. I’m honest. And I’m looking for the same from someone who has the motivation that I had years ago to learn technology and build a better life.
