We offer a suite of tools across web and mobile platforms to help our customers manage breeding records, individual pedigrees and genetic data, tasks, health data, and reporting/tracking to improve overall breeding outcomes. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Laravel Developer to join our passionate team in developing and enhancing our products.

Role Summary:
As a Laravel Developer, you will play a critical role in the development and optimization of our software. Working within a small, dynamic (remote) team, you will contribute to both the expansion of our existing web application and its APIs to our mobile applications (react native — Android and iOS; supported by another member of the team). This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our product offerings and improve the user experience for our global customer base.

Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and maintain our Laravel-based web application with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
– Collaborate with the product team to design, develop, and deploy new features that meet the needs of our users.
– Work closely with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
– Ensure the highest code quality and maintainability by implementing best practices, code reviews, and automated testing.
– Assist in the integration of our web and mobile applications to provide a seamless user experience across platforms.
– Troubleshoot and resolve any issues arising in the application, providing timely and effective solutions.
– Keep abreast of the latest developments and trends in web development, Laravel, and relevant technologies to suggest and implement improvements to our processes and products.

Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a Laravel Developer with a strong portfolio of projects.
– Expertise in PHP and Laravel framework, along with understanding of MVC design patterns.
– Strong automated testing experience with PHPUnit and experience working in a CI/CD environment
– Proficiency in front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
– Familiarity with blade templates and working with separate front-end frameworks within Laravel (e.g. Vue)
– Experience with SQL databases, version control tools (e.g., Git), and developing RESTful APIs.
– Familiarity with cloud services and continuous integration
– Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills
