Laravel developer

We are a creative agency, but we do also some back-end applications to make administration of companies easier. Last year we were in discussion with 3 clients to upgrade their ICT system and to provide a PIM so that they can easy manage their webshops. All our systems run on Laravel / Mysql atm.

2 of the 3 clients agreed already to our proposed architecture. They know this is a new product for us. Inhouse we currently doesn’t have enough development time left for this project. We have some ongoing outsourcing projects with a company in India, but there we have always someone in-between, and never contact with the developer itself. Therefor I am exploring the possibilities here.

We need someone that is able to work on fulltime base for at least 6 months. After that we will enter in maintenance mode, and depending on the requests that can be a hallftime job or even a fulltime job. As we have also other projects, and cooperation went very well, you can perhaps work on other projects too, but thats not the focus.

What we need is someone who has experience in Laravel, so that he/she/x knows the strenghts, but also the limitations. We will build a multi-tenant (5 user levels) solution, and we will build it as a SAAS system, so that we can easily expand. Database will be MySql, but everything from the products will be saved in MongoDb, as products doesn’t always has the same info.

As we will need a lot of data-syncs, it has to be determined if laravel is a good solution for the syncs, or perhaps we have to implement some nodejs background tool. But thats for the future, we need first a POC (and if it only syncs once a day its not such an issue).

We need to start this project up rather soon (1 week). So next friday I need to make my decision if I stick with current outsourcing company or hire someone here.

I will be the person that checks everything, as I am a senior developer myself I know what I talk about (but I always listen to good suggestions). Currently we use blade in laravel. So front end will also be in Laravel (I haven’t the knowlegde myself for a Click to view frontend or similar, and I need to be able to work on the project too).
