Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Law Clerk / Administrative Assistant to join our team, a leading Canadian law firm specializing in charity and not-for-profit law. This position is 100% remote. As a law clerk/Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our legal practice. Your exceptional communication skills, familiarity with Canadian law, experience in legal file management, and ability to quickly adapt to new tasks and responsibilities will be highly valued. No degree in law is required, but familiarity with corporate law is a definite asset

Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to legal professionals, including lawyers and paralegals.
Maintain and organize legal files, documents, and records in accordance with established procedures.
Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports with accuracy and attention to detail.
Conduct legal research, gather information, and assist in preparing case files.
Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails, and mail.
Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate and prioritize tasks.
Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information.

Qualifications:
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
Familiarity with legal terminology and document formats.
Tech-savvy and Proficiency in using office productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in tasks.
Quick learner with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Quick response time to clients and team members.
