Our busy law firm is looking for a billing assistant who loves digging into detailed work that can help our billing attorneys revise, process, and issue accurate billing bi-weekly in a timely manner. The billing assistant will work closely with our billing specialist to ensure that billing is accurate and consistent. Experience in accounts receivable/collections and consistent follow-up is a plus! Job seekers should have at least have 2 years of billing experience with the billing process, be meticulous and organized, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities:

The Billing Clerk will be responsible for the following:

• Money In:
o Cross Referencing and reconciliation of money paid in via payment plans and outstanding invoices.
o Enters clients’ payments into the accounting system,

• Billing & Invoicing
o Sets up new client / matters in the accounting system
o Prepares and issue weekly, bi-weekly or monthly billings and invoices.
o Manages the weekly tracking spreadsheets to ensure all information is up to date and accurate.

• Systems, Policies and Procedures.
o Craft and manage the Financial Systems Manual with periodic updates.

Requirements:

? Proven experience in bookkeeping = 2+ years
? Good understanding of business principles
? Strong communication and people skills
? Strong attention to detail including grammar and spelling
? Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
? Great organization skills
? Excellent knowledge of basic office programs, computer software and online applications (CRM tools, Online analytics, etc.)
? Strong typing and computer efficiency skills
? College Degree, Business or relevant field experience is a strong advantage
