Lead Data Scientist

Redbrain, a pioneering Comparison Shopping Service driving over $1.4 billion in incremental sales for our partners, known for its innovative use of AI and data science, is searching for a Lead Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you’ll spearhead the development and implementation of cutting-edge data-driven solutions, propelling our business growth and solidifying our position at the forefront of the industry.

Lead Data Scientist responsibilities include building and leading the data science team, planning projects and building analytics models. You should have a strong problem-solving ability and a knack for statistical analysis. If you’re also able to align our data products with our business goals, we’d like to meet you.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced analytics models and solutions to improve business processes and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the charge: Build and manage a high-performing data science team and develop predictive models and machine-learning algorithms to analyse large datasets.

Craft strategic insights: Translate complex data into actionable insights that inform key business decisions across the organization, from product development to marketing optimization.

Architect innovative solutions: Design and implement cutting-edge AI and machine learning models, tackling challenging problems and unlocking new growth opportunities.

Champion data-driven culture: Foster a data-centric culture within Redbrain, evangelising the power of data and promoting its effective use across all departments.

Stay ahead of the curve: Continuously monitor and explore emerging data science and AI trends, ensuring Redbrain remains at the forefront of technological advancements.

Communicate effectively: Present complex data insights clearly and understandably to stakeholders.

Requirements:
Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role
Solid understanding of machine learning
Knowledge of data management and visualization techniques
A knack for statistical analysis and predictive modeling
Good knowledge of BigQuery/Postgres, Vertex AI, Fast API
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Excellent communication skills
A business mindset
Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or similar field
