Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Lead WordPress Developer who can seamlessly merge leadership with technical expertise. The ideal candidate will have a rich background in WordPress development, a passion for innovation, and a knack for mentoring and guiding teams to success. We value individuals who are solution-oriented, committed to delivering high-quality results, and adept at collaborating with various stakeholders to drive project excellence and client satisfaction. If you’re eager to lead, inspire, and leave a substantial imprint on every project, you could be the perfect fit for our dynamic team at Webstein! This is a remote or work from home role and would ideally suit someone wanting to work 8 hours a day Monday – Friday. You should have excellent people and leadership skills, attention to detail as well as a proactive mindset. You’ll report directly to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
Your job will be to use your past experience to:
Lead, mentor, and oversee the development team to build custom WordPress websites based on supplied scope and design.
Develop advanced WordPress themes and plugins ensuring optimum performance and security.
Enhance and streamline development procedures to continually improve our web development offer.
Serve as a liaison between the development team and clients, ensuring clear communication and mutual understanding.
Experience
Experience in leading a team of developers is a must, along with your core competencies:
Advanced Technical Proficiency: Comprehensive understanding of WordPress core, themes, plugins, and database structures.
Expert Coding Skills: Proficiency in PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.
Strategic and Innovative Thinking: Proposing, implementing, and overseeing new ideas or tools that can enhance client and team experiences.
Effective Communication Skills: Clearly and effectively communicate with clients and team members to understand their issues and provide solutions.
Advanced Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve high-level website issues reported by clients and team members.

We want you to succeed in this role and we’ll provide any additional training you may need to hit the ground running. Note we’re not going to teach you how to do your job, because your past experience will serve you well.
We will however train you regarding our systems, our products and our customers so you can apply your skills to help us achieve our mission.

Employment type
This is a full time role and we’re not looking for an agency.
