Job Description

As a Learning Specialist Teacher, you’ll empower individuals to cultivate enduring study and learning abilities through personalized online sessions. Your focus will be on enhancing their capacity to retain information, comprehend concepts, and bolster confidence for examinations.

This role encompasses a diverse range of skills including review techniques, organizational strategies, effective planning, comprehension methods, and techniques to maintain focus and motivation during learning sessions. Your primary responsibility will involve guiding learners through the curriculum to equip them with the necessary skills to enhance their academic or professional performance.

A key aspect of this role is the ability to establish genuine, one-on-one connections with learners. Ultimately, the aim of this position is to effect tangible improvements in the lives of those seeking assistance.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must have mastery of the English Language
2. Must have 5 or more years teaching, coaching, tutoring, or mentoring teens and /or adults
3. Must have strong internet connection & laptop
*Bonus if you have worked in field related to ADHD, dyslexia, or other learning disabilities
*Bonus if you have experience with ACT prep

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Conduct personalized online sessions to assist individuals in developing enduring study and learning abilities.
2. Employ various techniques and strategies to enhance learners’ retention of information and comprehension of concepts.
3. Provide guidance on effective review techniques tailored to individual needs.
4. Assist learners in implementing organizational strategies to optimize their study environment and workflow.
5. Collaborate with learners to develop personalized study plans and schedules that align with their academic or professional goals.
6. Utilize comprehension methods to ensure learners grasp complex concepts effectively.
7. Employ motivational techniques to help learners maintain focus and perseverance during study sessions.
8. Establish genuine, one-on-one connections with learners to foster trust and rapport.
9. Monitor progress and adapt teaching methods as needed to address individual learning challenges and strengths.
10. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with learners.
11. Document sessions and provide feedback to learners to facilitate their growth and development.
12. Demonstrate empathy and patience while supporting learners through their academic journey.
13. Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes confidence and self-efficacy.
14. Additional responsibilities as needed.

This is part-time work but future opportunities are possible for gig, part-time or full-time work based on performance.
