We are currently looking for a Remote Leasing Associate to join our growing organization and undertake the following tasks:
Job Summary:
As a Leasing Associate, you will play a vital role in performing tasks with regards to the leasing operations of the company. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, preparing statements, and ensuring compliance with ethical principles and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
-Tenant Screening: evaluating prospective renters to ensure they meet the criteria for renting a property. This involves conducting background and credit checks, verifying employment and income, and assessing rental history.
-Maintenance Coordination: managing and organizing the maintenance and repair activities for a property. This includes scheduling routine maintenance, responding to repair requests, coordinating with contractors and service providers, and ensuring timely completion of tasks to maintain the property’s condition and functionality.
-Onboarding New Tenants: Handling the process of welcoming new tenants and ensuring a smooth transition into their new rental property.
-Onboarding New Property Owners: Creating a customer experience for the Owners. Handling the process of integrating owners and their properties into the management system. This includes signing management agreements, gathering property details and documentation, setting up owner accounts, explaining services and procedures, and establishing communication channels.
-Prospective Tenant Lead-Capture: Handle incoming prospect inquiries promptly and effectively, including the process of collecting and managing contact information and details from potential tenants who are interested in renting a property. This involves using various methods such as online forms, phone/email responses, and in- to gather data, which is then used to follow up with prospects, schedule viewings, and provide property information.
-Assist with Owner Acquisition: Quick and effective communication to assist with Owner acquisition. Answer questions promptly. Make it a pleasant customer experience.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in property management.
Proficiency in AppFolio or similar property management software
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Usage of Slack and similar task based communication tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of commercial real estate industry practices is a plus.
Ability to communicate and close the loop with peers, tenants and owners.
Problem solver with ability to navigate sensitive situations swiftly and with finesse.
Self-starter, being able to get to solutions swiftly.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
– Internet speed minimum 30mbps
– i5 8th Gen or higher
– Windows 10 / MacOS Catalina or higher
– Minimum of 8 GB RAM
– Private and quiet dedicated home office area (no roosters, dogs, children’s noises in the background)
– Back-ups in case of power or internet provider interruptions
– Good headset and webcam (preferably noise-canceling headset)
