JOB SUMMARY
We are searching for a Leasing Specialist to manage and lease properties for short-term and long-term rental terms. To promote and lease unoccupied properties, the applicant must have strong communication, customer service, and marketing abilities. The Leasing Specialist will also oversee lease creation, lease renewal, rent collection, and applicant screening.

JOB DESCRIPTION
• Create and promote the company’s short-term and long-term rental properties to prospective customers on various leasing platforms.
• Respond to inquiries and offer relevant information to prospective customers.
• Provide accurate details about each of the property features.
• Negotiate leasing agreements, create lease agreements, and track prospects lease renewals.
• Provide existing tenants with lease renewal choices 60-90 days prior to lease expiration.
• Connect with residents/guests & follow up on past-due bills.
• Screen rental applications and do background and credit checks on potential renters.
• Collaborate with property management to ensure properties are properly maintained and repaired on schedule.
• Make sure the rental homes are clean, attractive, and ready to go.
• Schedule prospect tours for community managers
• Address tenant issues and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Keep detailed records of leasing operations such as lease origination, lease renewal offers, rent collections and tenant contacts.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Prior experience as a Leasing Specialist or proven working experience as a Leasing Consultant is required.
• A minimum of two years of experience in leasing or property management is required.
• Real estate management experience or expertise (Required)
• Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office and property management software.
• Appfolio and Campspot experience is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service abilities.
• Proven ability to negotiate lease agreements, draft lease agreements, and address tenant issues.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing rules and regulations.
• Ability to work both alone and collaboratively.
