Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Legal Admin Assistant with strong document drafting, IT and organisational skills to help us with a broad range of administrative and reporting tasks.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
The role would be reporting into the Senior Lawyer and performing a range of tasks including, in accordance with on the job training and instruction, assisting with:
• drafting letters
• communicating with clients over the phone and by email about their legal service and billing
• invoicing, receipting and other client billing tasks
• filing client documents in legal software
• word processing in Microsoft Office
• scheduling appointments and managing status of client matters
• ad hoc research tasks

Expectations of a successful candidate:
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
• Proven experience within administrative roles
• Strong ability in IT administration including setting up logins, and either experience in, or the ability to learn how to use accounting programs
• Data administration and analysis in Excel
• Microsoft Office capability to write and amend documents
• Experience in trust accounting would be helpful but is not required provided there is a strong ability to learn how to use new software
• The ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• An autonomous and proactive work ethic, with great attention to detail
