We’re seeking a sharp legal assistant for our busy law firm who can help our attorneys and paralegals assist our clients. Please, include a copy of your resume in your application.

The Legal Assistant is the first person most prospective clients interact with when they contact our firm and someone who will make a great first impression and ensure our callers feel comfortable and heard. This position is responsible for tracking, taking notes, and analyzing where a person is in their life, where they want to get to, and whether our firm is the one who can help get them there. You will be working closely with other staff members. At times, you will also need to know how to figure things out on your own and be able to creatively problem-solve and come up with solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Build the initial client relationship and confidence in our firm with every prospective client interaction
• Answer calls and emails from prospective and existing clients
• Keep our calendars filled with prospective client meetings
• Listen to prospective clients’ issues and maintain confidentiality
• Keep updated records and detailed documentation of client interactions and concerns in a paperless database system
• Track data in spreadsheets and a database system and provide weekly reports on trends
• Onboard new clients
• Nurture existing relationships with clients and ensure we go above and beyond to provide a “WOW” experience
• Organize client’s files in MyCase and Dropbox
• Drafting pleadings
• Preparing discovery
• Filing documents with the court
• Communicating with clients
• Assist attorney, paralegal, and legal assistant with administrative tasks as needed

Education & Experience:

• Must be a Law graduate or any related courses.
• For Non-Law Graduates – Must have at least 2 years of experience working in a Law Firm.
• Customer service and/or sales experience
• Strong people skills
• Ability to work remotely from home (see remote requirements)
• Knowledge of computer technology and the Internet (MS Word and Excel)
Including the ability to learn new programs easily
• Multi-tasking skills and the ability to work well under pressure
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent telephone, communication, and active listening skills
• Reliability and dependability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in a confidential environment maintaining client confidentiality at all times
