The successful candidate will be working with an Australian managed service provider to provide technical services to a growing client base within the Australian market. Primary responsibilities include answering phone calls / emails, managing support requests, conducting routine health checks on servers, deploying new PC’s / Servers, project management and maintaining technical documentation.
The company has an established client base and has been operating since 2010. We supply IT support services to a large range of external corporate clients across many different industries including Legal, Finance, Engineering, Real Estate, and more.
This role is for a full time 40Hr / week where your shift will be aligned to Sydney, Australia time zone. You will be paid weekly.
The role will provide you with experience with a broad range of systems.
It is expected that the successful candidate will be able to work independently, manage their own workload, troubleshoot problems and independently solve problems.
The remuneration package will be commensurate to your experience and level of skill.
Skills Required:
– 5+ years experience as an IT Systems Engineer.
– Customer service communication experience (Phone and Email).
– Strong English speaking and writing skills.
– Ability to track time spent on jobs.
– Ability to multitask and work between multiple remote support tasks simultaneously.
– Microsoft environment management and implementation experience, including;
– Active Directory (On premises, Azure and hybrid)
– Microsoft SharePoint experience.
– System administrator experience.
– General understanding of Networking, IP addressing and making changes to routers (Port forwarding, DHCP, Internal DNS).
– Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies.
– Setting up VPN and Remote Desktop.
– WordPress experience.
– Experience managing a cPanel.
– Understanding of Public DNS.
– Understanding of Cyber Security strategies / system hardening.
– Google Workspace management experience.
– PowerShell experience.
– Incident management experience.
Conditions:
– Work from home. Must have your own MS Windows 10/11 PC with minimum i5 CPU, 8GB RAM and SSD. Must have reliable backup internet (e.g. mobile phone data hotspot). Must have reliable power backup (e.g. Fuel generator, or power bank) that will allow you to continue working even if your power and / internet is offline. Must have high quality noise cancelling headphones. Must have a quiet room to work from with no outside noise.
– Work day would be 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday (Sydney standard / DST time) with a 1Hr unpaid lunch break. (Sydney has 6 months daylight saving time which offsets the time zone by 1Hr from October to March, so need to start and finish work 1Hr earlier during DST to align with Sydney time).
– Work in accordance with Australian (NSW) public holiday schedule instead of Philippines holidays. Several public holidays align, such as Good Friday, Christmas Day, New Years Day.
– In addition to public holidays, you will be allocated 15 paid leave credits per year which will start to accrue after 6 months probation.
– The company will be closed between 25th December and 1st January. Non-public holiday dates to come out of employees leave credit allowance.
– Minimum 2 weeks notice to be submitted for taking planned leave.
