Job Description:
We are seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist or someone with experience in a Physical Therapist setting to join our team as an Administrative Assistant. This role will primarily focus on administrative tasks to support our Physical Therapy practice. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:
Confirm patient appointments and manage appointment calendar
Handle patient inquiries via phone and email
Maintain patient records and ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
Coordinate with medical staff to manage daily schedules
Follow up with patients post-session to ensure satisfaction and progress
Manage appointment rescheduling and referrals from other healthcare providers
Send personalized communications to patients
Assist with insurance authorization or verification as needed
Verify patient insurance coverage
Obtain pre-authorizations for procedures
Update patient files with insurance information
Explain insurance benefits to patients
Liaise with insurance providers to clarify coverage details
Track status of pending insurance claims
Assist patients with insurance-related queries
Follow up on unpaid claims
Post payments to patient accounts
Resolve billing discrepancies
Review and appeal denied claims

Requirements:
Licensed Physical Therapist or relevant experience in a Physical Therapist setting
Great English
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in using software such as WebPT
