About Stonesteps Partners and Elliot Horen: Stonesteps Partners is a U.S.-based investment company known as a “search fund” with a single mission: find and buy one company in the United States. My name is Elliot Horen. I’m the Managing Partner of Stonesteps Partners and I recently graduated with an MBA from Stanford University. In this role, you’ll work directly with me and provide essential support to the success of the fund.

I’m hiring a Virtual Assistant to support our outreach to companies and business owners and support the operations of the fund. You can read more about the company at .

Your responsibilities will increase over time, as you develop your capabilities and demonstrate your abilities. Your main work will include:

Company and Contact List Building: Creating lists of potential investment opportunities (companies) and their owners and locating their contact information. This involves using Google, online resources, and databases to identify suitable targets.

Email Marketing Tool Management: Input validated email addresses into our email marketing tool (). Help organize and segment contact lists for targeted email campaigns.

Research Support: Conduct research on industry trends. At the start of your application, please include my hometown (listed on the “Meet Elliot” page of the Stonesteps website) if you want to be considered for this position. Summarize findings and provide reports to assist the investment team in decision-making.

Administrative Tasks: Assist with general administrative duties as required, including scheduling, document preparation, and other tasks to support the smooth operation of the investment fund.

Qualifications:

Full proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Experience in lead generation and list building for U.S. based companies.
Strong attention to detail and ability to closely follow written procedures.
In the absence of written procedures, willingness to creatively solve problems and overcome challenges.
Experience using email marketing software is an advantage.
Experience using design software (Canva) is a advantage, along with having an eye for design.
Honesty and comfort with learning from mistakes.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Work Environment:

Hours: 8AM – 4PM Philippine Standard Time – Our meetings will typically be at 8AM your time ( 8PM my time).
Daily Updates: I’ll ask you to provide a daily update in addition to your work.
Tools: We’ll use Google, gmail and Google Docs for most tasks.
Training: I’ll provide training materials and video walkthroughs of most technical tasks. I’ll expect you to ask questions to build your understanding, and contribute to improving our training materials.
