THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Institute for Natural Medicine (INM) is seeking a friendly, people-centric, detail-oriented team player who is comfortable making cold calls while providing patient, friendly, accurate, and helpful service to members and potential members of our “Find a Natural Doctor” database. You will work alongside a dedicated Database Manager and other INM staff to contact doctors and help them “claim” their free listing on our site, as well as update contact information based on your calls, use research to identify and successfully reach listing members and help them claim or sign up for an account. This role needs excellent communication skills, English fluency, and the ability to engage creatively with real-time issues within pre-defined guidelines and call scripts. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

– Calling potential database members and helping them “claim” their accounts.
– Updating, in coordination with the Database Manager, out-of-date information based on your calls and call outcomes.
– Effectively using call scripts, guides, and other established resources to handle situations tactfully, with respect, patience, and genuine helpfulness.
– Using excellent spoken and written English language communication skills to interact with potential database members in a way that is clear, engaging, and understandable based on call scripts and other guidelines.
– Identifying points of contact and keeping a “lead sheet” of call interactions for follow-ups as well as requests for more information.
– Managing a lead list of contacts provided to you while keeping detailed records of outcomes and progress.
– Exercising judgment and discretion during calls and knowing when to escalate an interaction to a higher level.
– Be available to meet periodically with INM Staff and Management for training, updates, and reports with an emphasis on detail-oriented work and results.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

– Proven experience working in a relevant capacity, with particular emphasis on sales or other telemarketing/telecommunications work.
– English language fluency, particularly spoken and in live conversation.
– Ability to occasionally meet virtually for check-ins (via Zoom or similar platforms) on a U.S. Pacific Time Schedule.
