Loan Settlement Officer

Main Responsibilities:
Pre-Settlement:
• Ensure that all aspects of loan settlements are completed in an accurate and timely
manner
• Ensure that queries from brokers/partners are answered appropriately and accurately
• Update relevant systems in time to maintain data consistency
• Keeping clients informed for settlement status.
• Following up the case from formal approval until settlement
• Ensuring the OFI is ready for settlement (Refinance Only)
• Loan docs checking when issued
• Following up settlement conditions if applicable
• Advise the customer about the funds to complete prior to the settlement
• Liaise with all parties to ensure that the file is ready for settlement and advise the
customer once the settlement is booked.
• Email notification to the customer about the settlement
• Send the breakdown details to the customer
• Complete the settlement checklist in our system

Post-Settlement:
• Setting-up Post Settlement Action Plan
• Supporting clients on loan maintenance service
• Follows up with clients every 6 months
• Loan change request
• Cash rebates apply and confirm
• Birthday review and annual review (Fixed rate expiry follow up)
• Construction Progress Drawdown:
1. Construction document checklist collection and follow up,
2. Commencement letters follow up and send to the builder/customer,
3. Construction tracking until construction completion

Qualifications:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in any field
At least 1 year of working experience in the financial industry is required for this position
At least 2 years minimum Australian mortgage experience is required
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
A positive disposition and can-do attitude
Keen attention to details
Ability to work well within a team environment
