Loans Account Officer

We are looking for a Loans Account Officer who will be responsible for conducting credit reviews, analyzing credit data, and creating recommendations to be presented to the credit committee. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of credit analysis, excellent analytical skills to identify potential risk factors and ability to formulate recommendations for improving credit worthiness.

Key Responsibilities:
– Conducting credit reviews of new and existing customers including gathering financial data, conducting credit analysis and interpreting financial statements.
– Performing data analysis on credit data, proactively identifying patterns and potential risks for customers.
– Prepare written credit analysis reports with recommendations to be presented to the credit committee or management team.
– Providing detailed credit analysis on current or prospective customers to support lending decisions, credit limit determinations, and risk assessments.
– Interacting with other departments within the organization such as Sales, Legal, Finance, and Credit & Collections to obtain information necessary for review and approval.
– Assess credit related compliance issues, internal controls, and provide recommendations for improvement if necessary.
– Participating in the on-going review of Credit Risk Policy guidelines.

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field.
– At least 2 years of experience in credit review, lending, or related field.
– Solid understanding of credit fundamentals such as credit analysis, financial analysis, and financial statement interpretation.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.
– Ability to work independently as well as within a team, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
– Experience in use of credit scoring models and credit analysis software.
– Strong knowledge of financial regulations, including but not limited to FASB, GAAP, and Dodd-Frank.
– Experience with credit documentation and compliant credit policies.
