Local SEO Specialist

Location: Work from home
Schedule: Flexible, but must be available during EST hours for quick collaborations and meetings. Especially every Friday, 10PM.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Local SEO Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of local SEO techniques and a proven track record of improving local search rankings for businesses. As a Local SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective local SEO strategies, conducting audits, and executing tests to optimize our clients’ online presence.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough local SEO audits to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
Develop and implement local SEO strategies tailored to clients’ specific needs and goals.
Optimize Google My Business (GMB) listings, local citations, and other online directories.
Perform keyword research and analysis to identify high-value local search terms.
Create and optimize content for local search, including blog posts, landing pages, and social media updates.
Monitor and analyze website performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in local SEO.
Collaborate with the content, design, and development teams to ensure SEO best practices are implemented across all digital platforms.
Prepare and present regular reports on SEO performance and progress to clients and stakeholders.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Local SEO Specialist or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of local SEO techniques, tools, and best practices.
Experience with SEO tools such as Moz, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and BrightLocal.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive actionable insights.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and website content management systems (CMS) is a plus.
Experience with Hubstaff or other time-tracking software is preferred.

Test and Evaluation:

As part of the application process, candidates will be required to complete an audit and strategy test to demonstrate their local SEO expertise. This will include performing a local SEO audit on a provided business and developing a comprehensive strategy to improve its local search performance.
