We are looking to bring on a Local SEO Strategist to be an integral part of our team. Muletown Digital specializes in big-picture digital marketing for small and mid-sized businesses. We design and build the beautiful websites, personalized tools, and smart strategies our clients need to grow on their terms. Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a Local SEO Strategist with excellent written and verbal communication skills, who has the experience to enhance our customers’ online visibility and credibility within its local market, ultimately driving increased foot traffic, leads, and sales.

This is a remote role that would ideally suit someone who is looking to grow with a company for years to come. We are looking to start this position as Part-Time (20 hours per week) with room for rapid advancement into Full-Time; you should be available 5 days a week & able to work in the Central Time Zone.

Responsibilities:
Website optimization: Enhance the website’s structure, content, metadata, and user experience to improve search engine rankings, increase organic traffic, and boost conversion rates.
Local listings management: Claim, verify, and optimize local business listings on platforms like Google My Business, Bing Places, and Yelp to ensure accurate information, improve visibility, and encourage customer reviews.
On-page and off-page SEO: Implement on-page optimization techniques such as meta tag optimization, header tags, and URL structure, as well as off-page tactics like building high-quality backlinks and engaging in local citation building.
Reputation management: Monitor, respond to, and manage online reviews and customer feedback to maintain a positive brand image and foster customer loyalty.
Performance analysis and reporting: Regularly track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of the local SEO strategy, identify areas for improvement, and demonstrate progress to stakeholders.
Competitor analysis: Keep a close eye on local competitors’ online activities, strategies, and performance to identify opportunities and threats.

Experience
You should not be new to any of the above responsibilities and have incredible attention to detail. You are independent & complete work in a timely manner with minimum supervision – easily able to keep your direct reports on track.

You must be highly technical in nature, we really need somebody who can OWN the local SEO space, bringing strategy, and being able to execute that strategy on their own and know how to use AHREFs, Bright Local, Google Business Profile, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, WordPress, and others.

You should also be confident enough to push back on the leadership team and express your opinion if you think the ship is heading off course. We encourage that.
