This position requires working in the Pacific Canadian Time zone and is a full-time permanent role.**

We are thrilled to offer an enticing opportunity for a skilled supply chain professional to join our team as a Logistics Coordinator. This role entails working closely with clients and carriers to facilitate efficient supply chain solutions, driving our clients’ success and contributing to our organization’s growth.

Responsibilities:

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the following:

Regularly communicate with clients, addressing inquiries and providing effective solutions
Coordinate operations by maintaining effective communication with carriers and internal resources
Identify carrier recruitment opportunities in collaboration with carrier management and procurement
Establish and nurture relationships with clients and carriers, ensuring trust and loyalty through outstanding internal and external customer service

Obtain transportation, warehouse, and distribution rate quotes from various resources
Negotiate rates with carriers and other vendors to source optimal options
Enter all relevant information into our TMS system, generating tenders and BOLs for transaction processing
Monitor dispatch operations to ensure timely pickup and delivery of each order
Collaborate with the CSR team to keep customers updated on their shipments

Requirements:

Specific requirements include:

Fluency in spoken and written English
Quick adaptability and proficiency in new software applications as required
Comprehensive knowledge of multiple freight modes, particularly dry van, FTL, and LTL, with an understanding of reefer, flatbed, rail, and ocean operations
Aptitude for data analytics comprehension
Excellent negotiation skills for effective engagement with individuals and groups both within and outside the organization
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to establish effective connections with clients, carriers, and colleagues
Strong interpersonal skills to adapt to new work structures, processes, or cultures
Effective problem-solving abilities
Time management skills to handle day-to-day duties efficiently
Strong follow-up skills regarding customer or sales team issues and requests
Maintaining professionalism when providing support to internal/external clients and vendors
Attention to detail when dealing with specific freight requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
