Job Description

The Logistics & Supply Chain Specialist will manage international and domestic supply chain operations and optimize the distribution of inventory across our locations. The role will help ensure efficient movement of goods, compliance with import/export regulations, and maintaining appropriate stock levels.

Key responsibilities:
1. Review open purchase orders regularly to plan shipments ahead of the ready date.
2. Create a distribution plan to identify optimal shipment and transportation routes across all our inventory locations; this includes US imports, exports, and domestic shipments.
3. Optimize transportation routes to maintain balanced inventory levels while minimizing costs.
4. Book and arrange transportation; Coordinate and oversee the import and export of goods to and from the US, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and documentation.
5. Internal & External Collaboration: Work closely with the following key people.
– Manufacturing & product teams: ensure accurate product & shipment data such as tariff codes, regulatory compliance, declared values, etc.
– Carriers/freight forwarders: ensure all import/export documentation is accurate and complete, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs documents.
– Customs brokers: proactively prevent shipping delays during international shipments and resolve issues where they occur.
– Warehouse team: ensure shipments are accurately received in full in a timely manner
6. Assist with freight shipments for wholesale orders upon request.
7. Maintain accurate & timely inventory and shipping records.
8. Stay up-to-date with changes in trade regulations and customs requirements.
9. Act as a primary liaison for shipment issues related to imports, exports, and domestic shipments.

Software/Tools:
– Inventory Management System; familiarity with DEAR Systems/CIN7 core is a plus
– Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central & replenishments
– Strong background with Google Workspace

Skill set:
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
– Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities; able to organize, multi-task, and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
– Well-organized and efficient problem solver.
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
– Understanding of cost drivers within the supply chain.

Experience:
– 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, inventory distribution or related.
– Experience in handling US imports/exports, and domestic shipments.
