Long Form Video Editor

Hi, I’m Alan, a full-time traveler, and the face and mind behind “Alan’s Theory,” a social media channel with about 1.5M followers across platforms where I share stories from different countries, always from a positive perspective. My mission is to open people’s minds!

I’ve been doing this by myself for 4 years already without making money, and I’m ready and excited to start turning this into a business and building my dream team, beginning with a video editor. So if you are organized, efficient, creative, positive, and motivated! I’d love to have you on board!

Your Role:
Your job will be to edit the videos and make thumbnails, I have a very particular way of telling stories and I’m looking for someone who can edit with the same level of proficiency or more.

Key Responsibilities:

– Edit long-form videos in a modern, dynamic, and engaging way
– Creating animations (if you know how to do that)
– You will work closely with me, as I am at the moment the one who edits the videos

What I’m Looking For:
– Someone who understands social media
– Someone who is a perfectionist. We can improve the style of the video, the ideas etc, but if you deliver things with obvious mistakes, that is not acceptable for me
– Strong organizational skills.
– Someone who uses Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom and After Effects (if you do not use adobe, but you are really good, it might still work)
– Deliver on time
– Understand the importance of storytelling
– You MUST HAVE access to fast-speed internet and a computer for editing
– Understand the importance of sound FX, music and sound design
– English speaker

2. Add 2 or 3 social media links to videos you have made that are somehow similar in style to the examples. (do NOT use Google Drive links, and DO NOT add more than 3 links)

3. Tell me which software do you use

4. (Extra, not necessary) If you have made some thumbnails or graphic design, add a link to ONE example (on social media)

If I decide to interview you, I might ask you to edit a long form video as an example, and there will be a short Skype video call between us.
