Job Description

Hi there! I’m Ariana and I run a digital media company based in UK, we create content for our 5 craft-related websites in the crochet and knitting niche and their related social media channels: , , , and .

I am looking for a long-term full-time (40 hours/week) content creator/writer/researcher to join our team.

No prior crafts/crochet knowledge is required, but you must have very good written English skills to be able to write for us. All tasks will be fully explained with step-by-step instructions so you will know exactly what to do.

Your main tasks will be:
– writing engaging social media captions that align with our brand voice
– writing short blog post intros
– edit/modify WordPress blog posts and insert related media
– research various topics and collect information into spreadsheets
– manage your Clickup workflow
– Help my Senior VA with small tasks such as updating past blog posts or updating links etc.

What I require from you:
– You MUST write and understand English very well and have some experience in creative writing/copywriting
– Experience with AI content tools and an understanding of their application in content creation (we use AI tools to create captions for Pinterest or help with the writing of blog posts)
– Knowledge of social media and how the algorithms work (the captions for Pinterest are not the same as the captions for Instagram for example)
– Experience in using WordPress for writing blog posts
– High attention to detail is a must
– Bi-weekly contact so we can discuss upcoming tasks, mainly with my Senior VA who is from the Philipines as well
– You must be computer savvy, own your own laptop/PC, and have a stable internet connection
– Basic knowledge of Canva and Clickup is a plus

Why join my team?
– Opportunity for growth and promotion as the business evolves
– Long-term job, this is an established business, not a start-up
– Flexible work hours and workdays, as long as the deadlines are met
– Training on the job
– one week per year paid holiday plus national holidays off
– friendly and relaxed work environment
– you will not be required to pay for any software

I know crafts and crochet are more of a women’s thing, but men are welcome to apply, I just need someone who is reliable, honest, willing to learn and have some writing skills. The job does not require you to know how to craft.

Key ideas to talk about:
– this is a pixelated image used in corner-to-corner crochet, use this crochet graph to create beautiful crochet blankets
– it’s designed for babies and kids, and it will create beautiful baby blankets for kids’ rooms or nurseries
– it depicts a teddy bear tucked in bed, the colors can be changed to fit any color palette
– kids love teddy bears (tell them why)

II.) Based on the intro you wrote, create 5 Pinterest descriptions that we can use to promote it. They should be keyword optimized and include some the following keywords: crochet pattern, crochet blanket, c2c crochet, crochet teddy bear.
