Looking for a Full Time Book Illustrator and Publisher!

Hi I am looking for a full time book illustrator and publisher. I write children’s books and I want to sell them but I need a talented illustrator/artist to help bring my books to life! We are seeking a talented and creative individual to join our team as a Book Illustrator and Publisher. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for storytelling through visuals and words, who can bring manuscripts to life through captivating illustrations and manage the publication process from start to finish. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in creating engaging and visually appealing books that resonate with our audience.

Responsibilities:

Illustration:
-Interpret written manuscripts and create illustrations that complement and enhance the storyline.
-Develop characters, settings, and scenes that capture the essence of the narrative.
-Ensure consistency in style and tone throughout the illustrations.
– Draw/Illustrate 2d Pictures for books

Collaboration
-Work closely with authors, editors, and other team members to understand the vision and requirements for each project.
Incorporate feedback and make revisions as necessary to meet the expectations of stakeholders.

Publishing:
-Oversee the publishing process from manuscript acquisition to distribution (Kindle publishing)
-Develop marketing strategies to promote books and increase sales.
-Handle contracts, rights negotiations, and other legal aspects of publishing.

Creativity and Innovation:
-Stay up-to-date with current trends and techniques in illustration and publishing.
-Continuously brainstorm and propose new ideas to enhance the quality and appeal of our publications.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a book illustrator and/or publisher, with a portfolio showcasing your artistic and storytelling abilities.
Proficiency in illustration software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Procreate.
Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Knowledge of the publishing industry, including printing processes, copyright laws, and distribution channels.
Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for storytelling.

Preferred Qualifications:

A degree in illustration, graphic design, or a related field.
Experience working in children’s literature, graphic novels, or other illustrated genres.
Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and e-book formats.
Marketing and promotional experience.
