Content Proofreader and WordPress Content Publisher.
We are a growing SEO agency focusing on a single industry in the energy sector. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with great communication and English writing skills. Once you learn our industry’s content, this position will allow for huge potential through our company, as several potential opportunities are coming up.
Roles:
You will be responsible for content proofreading from our content team.
You will be responsible for creating new pages and publishing on client’s websites.
Our content team will write articles and pass them on to you for proofreading to ensure all content reads well and fits all content and client SOP’s.
Once an article is approved for publication, you will get the content live and structure the content on the client site that looks good, reads well and follows all optimization guidelines.
Are you an absolute expert in onpage SEO? As an Onpage VA, you must ensure that all content, HTML elements, and the user experience on our client websites are fully optimized.
You will vet published webpages, and make the necessary changes in WordPress to ensure we maximize our content and presence on Google SERPs. You are focused on producing long-term outcomes, not short-term SEO rank spikes.
Additionally, you will be expected to publish new blog posts (with the content our writers have created), and to onpage optimize said blog posts.
Join our growing search engine optimization team while working within a fun and creative corporate culture. The qualified individual we’re looking for should be extremely attentive to detail, highly proficient with HTML5, and a strong English communicator.
The onpage VA we’re looking for should be up-to-date with recent search engine changes, including (but not limited to) Google Penguin and Panda updates. You must have a deep understanding of best practice onpage SEO.
Most importantly, your onpage effort must generate results.
Your Skill Requirements:
– Coordinate with the SEO team lead
– Use the “Onpage Site Planner” spreadsheet to keep track of all webpages, keyword priorities, and newly published content.
– Do not keyword stuff, abuse structured data, or use any form of SEO black hat strategy. We expect the best quality of webpages, not lazy SEO.
– Please write “collywobble” in your message when you apply here so that I know you’ve read everything.
– Scrutinizing clients’ websites and identifying onpage opportunities.
– You will represent clients’ companies online. Maintain a very high degree of professionalism when engaging in onpage SEO on our client’s behalf.
– You understand how to identify broken links, and how to fix them.
– You understand how to enhance the visibility of a single webpage in Google SERPs via onpage SEO
Position Requirements:
– You must be fully committed to your role – we will accept both part-time and full-time (preferred) however if you are working full time we expect 100% of your availability.
– You will work from your own location.
– You must have fast & reliable computer. (MAC or PC.)
– You must have fast & reliable internet connection.
– You must have exceptional English speaking & writing skills.
– You must have strong communication skills with the ability to hit deadlines while working autonomously. – poor communicators will not be a good fit for our business.
– You must be set up for weekly Zoom video calls with our team — a webcam is required.
– You must be comfortable using project management tools such as Asana.
– You must be comfortable using SEMRush
– You MUST NOT outsource this work. It must be done by you, with no exceptions.
Pay Rates:
To start you will be given jobs on a contract basis until we can vet your work and reassure ourselves you are ready to be a full-time member of our veteran marketing staff.
Hours and pay are subject to discussion based on your pre-qualifications. Note: there is a great deal of opportunity for advancement and Right Design’s end goal is to find a long-term, well-remunerated employee.
Depending on the quality of your work and experience we are open to negotiation on your final salary.
You will need:
– Excellent writing in English. This is critical so all content that goes live on a client’s site reads well.
– Excellent communication skills with other internal employees. You will be required to communicate well with other members in our team to ensure all content deadlines are met.
– Basic experience with WordPress is a MUST. You will be editing and creating content live on clients’ websites, so understanding the WordPress platform is essential.
– Have experience in writing and/or editing content for SEO and user experience.
– Experience with software communication platforms (Asana and Slack) will be a huge benefit.
We focus on a very specific niche, so all training, tools and SOPs will be provided to ensure you are able to fulfill your roles.
